Do you ever feel less than? Unworthy of doing the things you feel in your heart to do?
Do you ever think of yourself as crazy or silly for even thinking you were capable of dreaming such things?
Like the person you have in your mind is not the person everyone sees today? Like if you were to honestly do the things stirring in your heart people would not accept it as “you”?
I believe we were all created for a reason and the things we were made to do and be are for good. We were each made to bring something specifically good into this world.
Whoever we are today does not have to be and most especially isn’t who we are to become tomorrow.
We must change. We have to continue evolving into the person God is showing us is in our hearts.
I heard someone say once “what if when we got to Heaven God introduced us to the person we could have been if we would’ve just trusted Him” if we would’ve just believed in all that He has put in us.
Yes, I’m an introvert. Yes, I have some social anxiety. Yes, I am a people pleaser (unfortunately). BUT that isn’t who I have to be tomorrow. And that isn’t who I will be in a month from today.
If we want it, God can change us in a radical way. He can embolden us. He can give us the right words to say when we speak. He can give us the desire to reach out to strangers.
I cannot allow myself, other people or the devil to hold me back from who I can be because of who I was yesterday.
I cannot allow fear of being different, of change, hold me back from greatness.
I cannot allow the thought of greatness scare me because we are all meant for great things in God’s Kingdom plan.
God has placed desires and passions inside of each of us. Maybe it’s toward a specific skill or talent, maybe it’s toward helping others, maybe it’s a passion toward your own family dynamic, maybe it’s a spiritual mission that He believes you are capable and strong enough for.
We must allow whatever God is trying to cultivate inside of us to grow, to evolve, to leak out onto others.
We were made for big things, and yes, raising spiritually and emotionally healthy kids is big.
Yes, trying to get your life back on track and your spirit healthy is big.
Trying to be 100 percent you, confidently is big.
I’m reminded of Jesus when He asked His disciples, “who do people say that the Son of Man is?” and they listed a bunch of prophets names and Jesus says “but who do you say I am?” (see Matthew 16:13-15)
To others we might be too quiet, too scared, too loud, too honest, too spiritual, too something.
But what other people think and say of us is not who we are.
It is ONLY what God says of us that matters.
You are purposed (Jeremiah 29:11)
You are His child (John 1:12)
You are His friend (John 15:15)
You are a NEW person (Romans 6:6)
You have spiritual blessings on your life (Ephesians 1:3)
You are seated with Him in Heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6-7)
You are not “too much”.
You are not “too quiet”.
You are exactly who God created you to be and those desires and passions stirring inside of you are NOT dumb or meaningless. As believers in Christ we are now part of THEE Royal family.
We are enough.
We are perfect for the task.
God always supplies; He always prepares.
So write, paint, teach, encourage, reach out, speak up, help, not because others will see it or because it is relevant.
Do what God has placed in your heart because He has called you to it and He is encouraging you to step into it.
Do it; be it. It is in your obedience to His word that will bring the fruit to your life.
