Fighting The Enemy

Ephesians 6:12
“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.”

The spiritual realm is real. This is something that is not emphasized enough. God is powerful and real and the love He has for us is immeasurable. However, there is another side to this. With every positive, there is a negative; the devil.

God has a plan for each of our lives and there are many people who die and never carry that plan out. Not because God made a mistake but because He allows us the freedom to choose in which direction we want to go in life. Our own way, or His?

He puts big, passionate dreams inside of people. He gives people visions of great and wonderful things they can accomplish through Him. He lights a fire and a desire in His people’s hearts to want to go out into this world and make a God-difference. Doing things only He could have equipt them for, things only He could have carried out through and in their lives, things that always point back to Him.

He wants us to wake up every morning and seek Him to great extents. He desires for our hearts to be fully immersed in His presence. He longs for us to be sensitive to His voice and walk out His word in our daily lives.

God has chosen you since before you were born to be in this moment, in this generation, and allow that fire in your heart to shine into the lives of those around you and break chains, tear down walls, free minds, all in His name!

Your life, your family, your situation, was no accident; God don’t make mistakes!

So when you start to feel that passion rise up within you and you begin to walk out in faith and you follow the path the Lord has set out for you, GEAR UP! (Eph.6:13)

The enemy is out for the KILL!

He is waiting to scare you out of the dream God has placed inside of you. He is ready to put fear in your heart and doubt in your mind. He is on the lookout for anyone walking out Gods big plans and he is ready to destroy.

His plan is to scare you out of continuing your walk with God. To bring you back down to a “comfortable” level of Jesus in your life; don’t get too crazy. He is ready to deter you from the promise God has placed within you by trying to convince you that you are weak, you are not capable, God made a mistake choosing you, you are not worthy, you can’t.

I want to encourage you today by letting you know that the enemy is a LIAR! It’s his best tactic, to use our own insecurities and our lack of the Word to draw us away from what God spoke over our lives.

    You are dangerous!

The enemy sees your potential more than you do! He sees the God in you that is capable! He sees how strong you are in Gods hands, and he’s scared! So what does he do? He tries to scare you out of it. He lies to you. He distorts your vision of what God has planned for you. He puts worry in you about how you’re going to get there. Don’t play his game!

You are worthy!
You are capable!
You are strong!
You are redeemed!
You are chosen!
You are equipt!
You are able NOT because of you but because of the God in you!!!!!!

Remember, if He has called you to it, He will walk you through it!

Do not buy the lies of the enemy! Do not allow him to steal your purpose! Do not allow him to trip you up! Do not allow him to put fear in your heart!

The only one you need to fear is God and HE’S ON YOUR SIDE!

Isaiah 43:2 says, “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.”

THIS is our God. One who promises to be there for us through it ALL! One who has called us into this life of saving souls for Gods kingdom, spreading the news of the Lord. He will carry us through every situation we encounter. TRUST HIM; BELIEVE HIS WORD!

Here are a few more words from God to encourage you in your journey with the Lord and I pray that when you are face to face with the enemy you will speak the Word in confidence, that the Lord is true in His Word and He is there to help you.

Psalms 60:12
“With God’s help, we will do mighty things, for He will trample down our enemies.”

2 Samuel 22:7
“But in my distress, I cried out to the Lord; yes, I cried to my God for help. He heard me from His sanctuary; my cry reached His ears.” (He hears you!)

Psalms 55:1
“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.”

Psalms 54:4
“God is my helper. The Lord keeps me alive!”

Isaiah 41:3
“For I hold you by your right hand-I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.”

Exodus 14:14
“The Lord Himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”

Luke 10:19
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Exodus 23:22
“If you indeed obey His voice [the Holy Spirit] and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.”

And finally…

Luke 1:37
“For with God, nothing will impossible.”

Read the Word. Know what God has promised you. And when the enemy comes TRUST THAT GOD CAN!!!
